DILL AND CUCUMBER DIP

Categories     Vegetable     Appetizer     No-Cook     Quick & Easy

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 medium cucumbers (diced)
1 spring onion
3/4 cup - Miracle Whip or Mayo
3/4 cup sour cream
3 TBSP dill weed
salt and pepper
dash of cayenne
dash of fresh lemon juice
veggies (Carrots, celery, radishes, etc)

Steps:

  • Chop cucumber into small bits and the spring onion finely. Then combine all ingredients except for the salt, into a bowl and chill for about one hour. You may want to add or lessen the amount of sour cream or miracle whip/mayo that you use depending on your own taste buds, I prefer miracle whip in this dip. Make sure to add salt at the last minute to avoid a watery dip - make sure to completely drain the water from the cukes! Yummy for your tummy. Let me know what you think, please.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh and crisp cucumbers: The fresher the cucumbers, the better the dip will taste. Look for cucumbers that are deep green in color and have no blemishes.
  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is a healthier alternative to sour cream, and it provides a thick and creamy base for the dip.
  • Don't skimp on the dill: Dill is the star of this dip, so be sure to use plenty of it. Fresh dill is best, but dried dill can be used in a pinch.
  • Add some lemon juice: Lemon juice helps to brighten up the flavors of the dip and adds a bit of tang.
  • Season to taste: Be sure to taste the dip and adjust the seasonings as needed. You may want to add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to suit your taste.
  • Serve with your favorite dippers: This dip is perfect for serving with vegetables, chips, crackers, or bread.

Conclusion:

Dill and cucumber dip is a refreshing and flavorful dip that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you serve it with vegetables, chips, crackers, or bread, this dip is sure to be a hit. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer or snack, give dill and cucumber dip a try.
