Provided by Six Sisters Stuff

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup sugar
3 tsp lime juice concentrate
3 cups club soda
4 Tbsp creme de menthe syrup (not liqueur) OR 3 drops mint concentrate and 2 Tbsp water
6 oz thawed lemonade concentrate
mint leaves
pineapple slices
maraschino cherries
toothpicks

Steps:

  • In a saucepan mix sugar and soda over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add lime juice and lemonade and bring mixture to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and add crem de menthe syrup.
  • Chill in fridge 30 minutes to an hour
  • For a 2 cup serving, mix 1/2 cup mixture with 1 1/2 cups of water.
  • Serve with cherries and pineapple slices on toothpick and mint leaves.
  • Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For an authentic Disneyland Mint Julep experience, use crushed ice. You can easily make your own crushed ice by blending regular ice cubes in a blender or food processor.
  • If you don't have any mint sprigs, you can add a few drops of mint extract to the simple syrup. This will give your julep a minty flavor without the added leaves.
  • If you're using fresh mint leaves, be sure to wash them thoroughly before using. You can also gently bruise the leaves to release their flavor.
  • Add the grenadine slowly and to taste. You don't want to overpower the mint flavor, so start with a small amount and add more as needed.
  • Serve your Mint Juleps immediately after making them. The ice will melt quickly, so it's best to enjoy them while they're still cold.

Conclusion:

Disneyland's Mint Julep is a refreshing and delicious non-alcoholic beverage that is perfect for any occasion. With its minty flavor and festive appearance, this julep is sure to be a hit with guests of all ages. So next time you're looking for a fun and easy recipe to try, give this Mint Julep a try.
