1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1 1/2-2 cups chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease a 9x13 baking pan.
  • Cream butter or margarine with both sugars.
  • Add egg and mix well.
  • Add vanilla and continue mixing.
  • Sift together flour soda, baking powder and salt.
  • Add to creamed ingredients, mix well.
  • Add oats and continue mixing.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • In a large bowl, combine flour and confectioners' sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan.
