DUTCH OVEN PULLED PORK

Dutch Oven Pulled Pork image

A wonderful oven-roasted BBQ pulled pork made with about any pork roast in a Dutch oven. Low and slow roasting up above the juices is the key. Serve by itself or on buns. I like mine with coleslaw and a root beer-BBQ sauce on multi-grain buns. Baked beans are a nice side dish, too.

Tips:

  • Choose a high-quality pork shoulder roast for the best results. A bone-in roast will add extra flavor to the pulled pork.
  • Don't skimp on the spices. A good rub will help to create a flavorful crust on the pork.
  • Cook the pork on low heat for a long period of time. This will help to tenderize the meat and make it fall apart easily.
  • Add some liquid to the Dutch oven during cooking. This will help to keep the pork moist and prevent it from drying out.
  • Let the pork rest for at least 30 minutes before pulling it. This will help to redistribute the juices and make the meat even more tender.

Conclusion:

Dutch oven pulled pork is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. With a little planning and preparation, you can create a flavorful and tender pulled pork that your family and friends will love. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give Dutch oven pulled pork a try. You won't be disappointed.
