EASY AND QUICK BLACK FOREST PUDDING
I can't remember where I got this from. But I keep a can of cherries in the cupboard, a sachet of the pudding mix and knowing that the corner shop stocks cream, have always got a posh pud on hand for unexpected guests. Use deep glasses so that the layers can be seen. You want the light to shine through the cherries. The original recipe called for chocolate instant pudding, but my family prefers toffee flavour. Oh, and I always make twice as much because people always want seconds.

Tips:
- Prepare the cake layers in advance: This will save you time when assembling the dessert. Bake the cake layers the day before or even a few days ahead of time. The layers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
- Chill the cream before whipping: This will help the cream whip up faster and more easily. Place the bowl and beaters in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before you start whipping the cream.
- Use fresh fruit: Fresh fruit will give your dessert the best flavor. If you can't find fresh fruit, you can use frozen or canned fruit, but the flavor will not be as good.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the cake tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the cake layers at the correct temperature: The cake layers should be baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If you bake the cake at a higher temperature, the outside of the cake will be overcooked while the inside is still raw.
- Let the cake layers cool completely before frosting them: This will prevent the frosting from melting and running off the cake.
Conclusion:
Black Forest dessert is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is a chocolate lover's dream, with layers of chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream. The addition of fresh cherries adds a touch of sweetness and tartness. This dessert is sure to impress your guests, and it is easy to make.
