EASY CHEESEBURGER QUICHE

This is a very tasty and quick meal. Children to adults love this. I like to top it with crispy bacon but it is good without as well. I love a good quiche, don't you? If serving to a male, then it becomes a Hambuger pie. ;)

Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 11

9 inch deep dish frozen pie shell
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 c real mayonnaise
1/2 c milk or half and half
2 eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 c chopped green pepper
1/4 c chopped yellow onion
1 12 c shredded cheddar or swiss cheese
1/2 tsp salt and pepper each
3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the ground beef and drain. Mix mayonnaise, milk, cornstarch and eggs. Stir in meat, cheese, onion and pepper.
  • 2. Pour into unbaked frozen deep dish pie shell. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until center is set. *Top with the bacon or tomatoes - put on for the last 5 minutes of baking if desired. Can also top with a few dill pickle slices after baking or a combination!

Tips:

  • Use a deep-dish pie plate to ensure the quiche has enough room to rise and cook evenly.
  • If you don't have a pie plate, you can use a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Use a good quality cheese. A sharp cheddar or Gruyère cheese will give the quiche the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the quiche. The center should be just set, but still slightly jiggly.
  • Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help it to set and hold its shape.

Conclusion:

The cheeseburger quiche is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover cheeseburger patties, or it can be made with fresh ground beef. The quiche is also a great option for a make-ahead meal. Simply prepare the quiche according to the recipe and then refrigerate it overnight. The next day, bake the quiche according to the recipe instructions. This is a great way to have a hot and delicious breakfast or lunch ready in the morning with minimal effort.
