Tips:

  • Use fresh ginger: Grating fresh ginger adds a burst of flavor to these gingerbread wedges. If you don't have fresh ginger on hand, you can substitute 1 teaspoon of ground ginger.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can result in tough gingerbread. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough before baking helps to prevent the gingerbread from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the gingerbread until it is set: The gingerbread is done baking when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the gingerbread cool completely before frosting: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

These gingerbread wedges are the perfect holiday treat. They are easy to make and can be decorated to suit any occasion. Whether you are making them for a Christmas party or a winter wonderland wedding, these gingerbread wedges are sure to be a hit.
