Tips:

  • Choose the right oats. Old-fashioned oats are the best choice for this recipe because they hold their shape well and won't turn mushy.
  • Use a food processor to chop the almonds. This will ensure that they are evenly chopped and will distribute evenly throughout the bars.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the bars tough.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the bars set and hold their shape better.
  • Bake the bars until they are golden brown. This will ensure that they are cooked through.

Conclusion:

These oatmeal and almond bars are a delicious and healthy snack or breakfast option. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. For example, you can add raisins, cranberries, or chocolate chips to the batter. You can also use different nuts, such as walnuts or pecans. These bars are a great way to use up leftover oatmeal and almonds, and they are sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
