4-INGREDIENT PEACHES AND CREAM PIE

4-Ingredient Peaches and Cream Pie image

Together, peaches and cream are simply made for summer - and remember, the juicier the peaches, the more delicious. This recipe's dark horse is the water you add to the cream cheese; it transforms the dense cheese into a light, silky filling.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 3h5m

Yield 6 to 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 refrigerated rolled pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
Two 8-ounce blocks cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup confectioners' sugar
3 to 4 very ripe peaches, halved, pitted and cut into wedges

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F. Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and fold and crimp the edges as desired. Lay a large piece of foil over the dough and fill with pie weights or raw rice. Bake until the dough begins to dry and set but is still very pale, about 12 minutes. Remove the weights and foil and continue to bake until the dough is golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes more. Set aside to cool completely on a rack.
  • Put the cream cheese, sugar and 1/4 cup water in a large bowl. With an electric mixer, beat on medium-high until light and smooth, about 2 minutes. Pour into the cooled pie crust and smooth out into an even layer. Top with the peach slices, loosely cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours or up to overnight.

EASY NO BAKE PEACH PIE

Easy No Bake Peach Pie image

Easy and so delicious! Great to take to a potluck or a picnic! Adapted from Carolina Country magazine and submitted by Diane Sprouse from Gaffney, South Carolina.

Provided by Sharon123

Categories     Dessert

Time 20m

Yield 1 pie

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 (16 ounce) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
2 cups fresh peaches
1 (9 inch) pie crusts (or 3 small grahm cracker pie crusts-one to eat, one to freeze, and one to share)

Steps:

  • Slice the peaches into a bowl and sprinkle with sugar to bring out the juice. Put peaches and juice into a blender or food processor to liquefy.
  • In a large bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and whipped topping. Fold in peaches and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour into pie crust(s) and freeze.
  • Also try with fresh strawberries instead of peaches.
  • To carry to a picnic other places you can freeze small slices of peach in ice cube trays and place around dish to keep cold and be decorative. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: Using ripe peaches will give your pie the best flavor. Look for peaches that are fragrant, slightly soft to the touch, and have a deep yellow color.
  • Peel the peaches before slicing them: This will make it easier to remove the pits and will also help the peaches keep their shape when they are baked.
  • Use a sharp knife to slice the peaches: This will help prevent the peaches from getting bruised.
  • Don't overfill the pie crust: If you overfill the pie crust, the filling will bubble over and make a mess. Leave about 1/2 inch of space between the filling and the top of the pie crust.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This will usually take about 45 minutes. You can check the pie by inserting a toothpick into the center. When the toothpick comes out clean, the pie is done.
  • Let the pie cool before serving: This will allow the filling to set and will make the pie easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Peach cream pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy filling and flaky crust, this classic pie is sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give this peach cream pie recipe a try.
