EASY (AND TASTY) MEATLOAF
This is the meatloaf recipe my family has used my whole life. I love it! Of course, we have to double to whole recipe, using 2 to 3 pounds ground beef, the whole package of onion soup mix, and a 12 fluid ounce can of Carnation evaporated milk. This is good with baked potatoes and some Bush's baked beans. (or any other vegetables: corn, peas...) I hope you like it!

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- In 8 by 4 inch loaf pan, combine first 3 ingredients; mix well (mixture will be very moist) Press evenly in pan.
- Combine brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup in a small bowl. (We seem to double -- or triple the topping- It is so good!) Spoon over mixture.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Using spatulas, lift meat loaf from pan to a serving plate. (Because it will be in lots of liquid, mostly water if using lean ground beef).
- Enjoy!
EASY TASTY MEATLOAF
I love meatloaf and I was experimenting one day. I'm not one to experiment, but this was a happy accident. My son who never likes meatloaf, will eat this one with no compliants.

Steps:
- 1. In a medium bowl add the bread crumbs, italian seasoning (more or less, depending on your preference) and milk. Let stand until the bread crumbs are moist, about 5 minutes.
- 2. Add ground beef to bread crumb mixture. Mix until all ingredients are combined. Form into 1 large or two individual loaves. Sprinkle top of meatloaf with bread crumbs and 1 or 2 pats of butter cut into cubes(depending on the size of the loaf that you make:this step is optional)
- 3. Preheat oven to 350. Cook meatloaf at 350 for 15 minutes, then lower heat to 325 and continue baking for another 35-40 minutes or until meat juices run clear.
- 4. Maybe served with or without your favorite gravy.
Tips:
- Choose the right ground beef: Use a blend of 80% lean and 20% fat ground beef for a moist and flavorful meatloaf.
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: Fresh herbs, vegetables, and spices will give your meatloaf the best flavor.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture: Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough.
- Shape the meatloaf into a loaf shape: This will help it cook evenly.
- Bake the meatloaf at a high temperature: This will create a nice crust on the outside and keep the inside moist.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: This will help the juices redistribute and make the meatloaf easier to slice.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. With a few simple tips, you can make a delicious meatloaf that your family and friends will love. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give meatloaf a try.
