Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Butter a 13x9 baking pan.
- Arrange saltines right side up in a single layer in pan.
- Melt butter and sugar over medium heat.
- Bring to boil, boil 3 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour over crackers, spread evenly with spatula.
- Bake for 5 minutes, if crackers move, rearrange with a fork.
- Cool for about 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate morsels over top.
- Let stand about 5 minutes the evenly spread over top.
- Cool completely, then cut in 2x1 inch bars.
- Place a pecan half over each piece.

- Preheat oven to 375°F Separate dough and press into a 15 x 10 pan making sure that the perferations are gently pressed together.

- 1. Lightly grease 15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan or a sheet of parchment paper.
- 2. Line bottom of pan evenly with soda crackers.
- 3. Combine butter and brown sugar in 2 quart heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking 3 more minutes, stirring constantly.
- 4. Pour mixture evenly over crackers. Bake in 375 oven 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
- 5. Sprinkle with chocolate pieces. Let stand 5 minutes.
- 6. Spread melted chocolate over crackers.
- 7. While still warm, cut between crackers making 35 squares. Chill in refrigerator until set. Makes 35 pieces.
