1 cup butter (softened)
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp milk
6 Tbsp molasses
2 tsp vanilla
2 2/3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Add milk, molasses, and vanilla until well-combined.
  • In a smaller bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, spices, and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir to combine.

1 stick butter, softened
¾ cup white sugar
⅓ cup water
1 tablespoon dark corn syrup
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 ½ teaspoons ground cloves
1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 (16 ounce) package powdered sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk, or as needed

Steps:

  • Combine butter and sugar in a bowl.
