This is a noodle casserole just like Mom used to make! Its down-home taste has great appeal at a family gathering or as a dish to pass. It's also easy to prepare and can be assembled ahead of time. No leftovers here! -Bernice Morris Marshfield, Missouri

BASIC FAMILY REUNION COLESLAW
Yep, this is the real stuff that your Great Aunt Martha made for her covered dish at the annual family reunion down at the old home place. No frills but wonderful cole slaw. This is the recipe that I exclusively use on pork barbeque sandwiches too. This cole slaw is NOT "milky-runny," even though it is mayonnaise-based. The original recipe comes from Art Ginsberg ("Mr. Food").

FAMILY REUNION COOKIES
This recipe was served at the McLeod Family Reunion in Florida, circa 1997. They said they'd been making them for years and no one knew where the recipe originally came from. Easy to do and just delicious!

Tips:
- Mise en place: Before you start cooking, gather all the ingredients and equipment you'll need. This will make the cooking process smoother and more efficient.
- Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the casserole will be. Choose fresh, seasonal vegetables and high-quality proteins.
- Don't overcook the vegetables: Vegetables should be cooked until tender-crisp, not mushy. Overcooked vegetables will lose their flavor and nutrients.
- Use a variety of textures and flavors: A good casserole should have a variety of textures and flavors. This can be achieved by using a combination of vegetables, proteins, and sauces.
- Don't be afraid to experiment: There are endless possibilities when it comes to making casseroles. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients and flavors to create your own unique recipes.
Conclusion:
Casseroles are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for potlucks, family reunions, and other gatherings. With a little planning and preparation, you can easily make a casserole that will be a hit with your guests.
