Time 8h40m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup orange juice
⅓ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary
2 green onions, sliced
4 thick-cut boneless center cut pork chops

Steps:

  • Mix the orange juice, soy sauce, olive oil, rosemary, and green onions in a large plastic zipper bag; place the chops into the bag, squeeze out the air, and seal the bag. Refrigerate to marinate 8 hours or overnight.
  • The next day, preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  • Remove the chops from the marinade, and discard the used marinade. Shake excess marinade from the chops, and grill until pork is browned, no longer pink inside, and shows good grill marks, about 15 minutes per side. An instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a chop should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops: Look for bone-in pork chops that are at least 1-inch thick. Bone-in pork chops are more flavorful and juicy than boneless pork chops.
  • Marinate the pork chops: Marinating the pork chops in a flavorful marinade will help to tenderize them and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as a simple olive oil and herb marinade, a tangy citrus marinade, or a spicy chili marinade.
  • Season the pork chops: Before grilling, season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. This will help to enhance the flavor of the pork chops.
  • Grill the pork chops over medium-high heat: This will help to sear the outside of the pork chops and prevent them from drying out.
  • Cook the pork chops to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit: This is the safe internal temperature for pork chops. You can use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork chops.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the pork chops, making them more tender and juicy.

Conclusion:

Grilled pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. By following these tips, you can cook grilled pork chops that are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Serve grilled pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
