1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Florida sweet onion, minced
2 teaspoons chopped pimiento
2 teaspoons whole capers
1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
2 pounds Florida blue crab meat, drained, shell pieces removed
2 tablespoons Italian bread crumbs
1 tablespoon paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine mayonnaise, minced onion, chopped pimento, capers Worcestershire sauce and first six ingredients in a large bowl. Gently fold in crab meat. 36 live blue crabs
½ cup seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
½ cup salt
3 cups beer
3 cups distilled white vinegar
¼ cup seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)

Steps:

  • Combine 1/2 cup seafood seasoning, salt, beer, and vinegar in a large stockpot over high heat. Bring to a strong simmer.
  • Right before cooking, carefully place each crab upside down and stick a knife through the shell, just behind mouth.
