  • Choose the Right Pasta: Use a short pasta like penne or ziti for this recipe, as they hold the sauce well and cook evenly.
  • Cook the Pasta Al Dente: Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, but aim for al dente (slightly firm to the bite) as it will continue to cook in the oven.
  • Use a Variety of Cheeses: Use a combination of cheeses that melt well and have different flavors, such as mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, and ricotta.
  • Make a Creamy Sauce: Use a combination of milk, cream, and cheese to create a creamy and flavorful sauce that coats the pasta.
  • Add Some Veggies: Add some chopped spinach, broccoli, or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Pan: When baking the ziti, make sure the pan is large enough to accommodate the pasta and sauce without overcrowding.
