When I was young, my family grew our own cabbages. It was fun to put them to use in the kitchen, just as I did with this comforting side. With potatoes, deviled eggs and cornbread, fried cabbage tastes like home. -Bernice Morris, Marshfield, Missouri

FRIED CABBAGE WITH SAUSAGE

Fried Cabbage With Sausage image

This fried cabbage recipe comes together quickly and makes a great lunch! Be sure to brown the sausage nicely for extra flavor. The lowest carb smoked sausage I've found is Hillshire Farms Naturals, but any variety you love will work. Macros are calculated based on 1 carb per 2 ounces of smoked sausage. The orginal recipe for this can be found on That Low Carb Life blog: https://thatlowcarblife.com/fried-cabbage-with-sausage/
