1 head lettuce, torn in small pieces
1 (15 ounce) can ranch style beans, rinsed & drained (kidney beans)
chopped green onion
2 tomatoes, diced
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 cups Fritos corn chips
1 (16 ounce) bottle Catalina dressing

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together, except don't add Fritos and dressing until just before serving.

This is a favorite at my 4th of July family reunion, they always request it every year!! It is easy to prepare and the way I put it together it is always fresh!!! I never have to worry about leftovers,LOL

2 heads iceberg lettuce
1 bunch green onion
2 medium ripe tomatoes
1 can(s) ranch style beans
1 bag fritos regular style
2 c grated cheddar cheese
1 bottle catalina dressing, large

Steps:

  • 1. Empty the whole bottle of catalina dressing in the bottom of a huge bowl(one that has a tightly sealing lid)add the whole can of ranch style beans juice and all, cut the tomatoes into bite size pieces and drop in next, cut the green onions and add them, next cut the lettuce and put it on top, then sprinkle on the cheese,and last the fritoes. When you are ready to serve, mix from the bottom up, and ENJOY!!!

  • For a creamier salad, use canned refried beans instead of whole beans. You can also mash the whole beans before adding them to the salad.
