Tips:

  • To ensure the steak is cooked to your desired doneness, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can also use the touch test to check the doneness of the steak. For rare, the steak should feel soft and springy to the touch. For medium-rare, it should feel slightly firmer. For medium, it should feel firm but still slightly springy.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
  • To prevent the steak from sticking to the grill, make sure the grill grates are well-oiled before cooking.
  • If you're using a gas grill, preheat the grill to high heat before cooking the steak. For a charcoal grill, let the coals burn until they're white-hot before cooking the steak.
  • Sear the steak for a few minutes on each side to create a nice crust. Then, reduce the heat to medium and cook the steak to your desired doneness.
  • Serve the steak immediately with your favorite sides.

Conclusion:

Garlic and thyme grilled sirloin steak is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
