1 cup almond flour
1 large egg, room temperature

2 teaspoons white sugar
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
⅓ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup chilled unsalted butter, cut into cubes
1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 cup cold whole milk
2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
½ teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.

Halloween is a favorite holiday around here, so every year, I look out for new recipes to add to the seasonal rotation. This was inspired by a really cute photo I saw on MyRecipes. Cooking time is chilling time.

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
cayenne pepper, to taste
2 -3 tablespoons poppy seeds
32 blue corn chips

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper, and mix well.
  • Form into 2" balls.
  • Roll each ball in poppy seeds and black pepper.
