Tips:

  • Use fresh cranberries and pineapple for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh cranberries, you can use frozen cranberries, but be sure to thaw them completely before using.
  • Don't overcook the ham. Ham is a delicate meat, and overcooking it will make it dry and tough. Cook the ham according to the package directions or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the ham reads 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Make sure the glaze is thick and syrupy before glazing the ham. If the glaze is too thin, it will run off the ham and not stick. To thicken the glaze, simmer it over low heat until it reduces by about half.
  • Glaze the ham several times during the cooking process. This will help to keep the ham moist and flavorful. Brush the ham with glaze every 15-20 minutes.
  • Let the ham rest before carving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the ham, making it more tender and flavorful. Let the ham rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.

Conclusion:

Glazed cranberry pineapple ham is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any special occasion. The sweet and tangy glaze complements the savory ham perfectly, and the pineapple adds a tropical twist. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
