10 cups popped popcorn
1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 (3 ounce) package fruit flavored Jell-O® mix
1 tablespoon corn syrup
3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a 1/4 sheet pan or two 8x12 inch baking dishes. Generously butter a heavy 2 quart saucepan.
  • Distribute popcorn evenly in prepared baking pans. Place in oven to keep warm.
  • In prepared saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, gelatin, corn syrup and water. Heat to 250 to 265 degrees F (121 to 129 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a rigid ball.
  • Pour mixture evenly over popcorn and stir until coated. Return popcorn to oven and bake 5 minutes; stir, then bake 5 minutes more.
  • Turn popcorn out onto a large piece of foil. Let rest until cool enough to handle, then form into balls. Or let cool completely and break into clusters. Store in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place.

10 -12 cups popped popcorn, popped (Blast O Butter Microwav )
1 cup salted mixed nuts
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 (12 ounce) package white vanilla baking chips
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Pop popcorn according to package directions. Open bag carefully and pour into large bowl; discard unpopped kernels.
  • Add nuts and cranberries to bowl with popcorn; stir well.
  • In microwave oven or double boiler melt chips according to package directions.
  • Pour over popcorn mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  • Spread onto large rimmed baking sheet; sprinkle with cinnamon, stirring to distribute evenly.

Receipe was handed down from my my grandfather (Via my aunt who used to make hundreds every Easter and New Years for parties that lasted at least 3 days) This receipe can be halved or quartered.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup oil
8 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 1/2 cups flour, -approximate . use only enough to make batter come away from bowl
poppy seed
1 beaten egg, mixed with
1 tablespoon milk

Steps:

  • Beat together vanilla, oil and eggs.
  • Add sugar, salt and baking powder and mix.
  • Add about half of the flour and mix. Gradually add the remaining flour until mixture comes away from the bowl. Do not over-add flour.
  • Pinch off pieces of dough and roll into pencil-thin strips about 6 inches long. Fold in half and twist into a rope. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  • Bake 350 about 15 minutes.

1 cup salted mixed nuts
1 cup dried cranberries
1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • In a large bowl place popcorn (discarding unpopped kernels) with the nuts the cranberries.
  • In a microwave safe 2-cup measuring cup, melt white chocolte on high for 1 1/2 minutes or until melted and smooth, stirring every 30 seconds or so.

  • Spread mixture on a cookie sheet pan, sprinkling with cinnamon. Let stand 15 minutes or until chocolate hardens. Sprinkle with gold dust.
