These aren't your everyday hamburgers. They taste a little different, but this is the only way I make them. Everyone loves these, and they are fairly simple to make. The brown sugar brings out the flavors of the other spices. Please note that these aren't exact measurements. I just throw a little of this and a little of that in.

1 pound ground beef chuck
½ small yellow onion, finely chopped
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons steak sauce
¼ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.
  • In a medium bowl, mix ground chuck, onion, brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, steak sauce, and Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Form the mixture into four burger patties.

1 pound bacon slightly frozen sliced in 1/4 inch pieces
1/2 pound pancetta chopped fine
1 large onion minced fine in a food processor
12 oz steak sauce
2 Tablespoons and garlic powder
