This is not really bird seed. It is a simple snack that we used as a get to know you on the first day of camp each session. It is really good and your kids will love it. This recipe can be modified to your liking but this is what we would put in it.

2 cups Fruit Loops cereal
2 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
1 cup peanuts
1 cup M&M'
1 cup raisins

Steps:

  • In a lg bag or bowl mix everything together and serve 1 c to each person.

1 pkg pepperidge farm cheddar cheese fish 6 oz.?
2/3 c m & m regular or seasonal
1 can(s) mixed nuts less expensive will do
2/3 c raisins dark or yellow
additional nuts walnut, pecan or cashew if you choose

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all together and place in clear container. Dollar General sells "Cheddar Whales", almost as good as the "Fish". This mix is a nice blend of Sweet and Salty -- Crunchy and Chewy (Raisins)
  • 2. Hide the container!
  • 3. You could add shelled Sunflower seeds or shelled Pumpkin seeds also. Or Craisons (Semi-dried Cranberries) for extra color and chew. Or get Creative.
