Yield Serves 4 to 6 as an appetizer

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 large garlic cloves, chopped
8 tablespoons lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
5 to 15 dashes of Tabasco sauce, depending on your taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (whatever you've got: basil, parsley, sage, thyme, oregano, or rosemary)
20 chicken wings (you can usually get a pack of wings at the market very cheap)
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. In a large serving bowl, mix together all the ingredients except the chicken wings.
  • 2. You will notice that the wing has two joints. Cut through both joints, separating the wing into three pieces. The wing tip is not usable here, so either toss it out or freeze it and throw it into your next stock, a purpose for which it is excellent.
  • 3. Salt and pepper the wing pieces to taste and whip them onto a medium-hot grill. Turn them occasionally until golden brown, about 5 minutes. To see if they're done, take a big one off the grill and bite into it.
  • 4. When the wings are cooked through, add them to the bowl with the dressing and mix to thoroughly cover. Set them on a platter, open a cold beer, and enjoy yourself.

Time 25m

Yield 1 20 wings, 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 large garlic cloves, chopped
8 tablespoons lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
5 -15 dashes Tabasco sauce, depending on your taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (whatever you've got -- basil, parsley, sage, thyme, oregano, or rosemary)
20 chicken wings (pref. organic chicken)
salt and freshly cracked black pepper

Steps:

Tips:

  • Use fresh chicken wings. This will ensure that the wings are juicy and flavorful.
  • Marinate the wings for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight. This will help the wings to absorb the flavors of the marinade.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. This will help to prevent the wings from sticking to the grill and will also help them to cook evenly.
  • Grill the wings for 10-12 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through. You can check to see if the wings are cooked by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the wing and making sure that it reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce. Some popular dipping sauces for grilled wings include ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, and barbecue sauce.

Conclusion:

Grilled Basque wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for parties or gatherings, and they can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a little planning and preparation, you can make grilled Basque wings that will be sure to impress your guests.
