GRILLED MUSTARD-BEER BRATWURST WITH TOASTED GARLIC BUNS
I make these on my outdoor BBQ, they are very good and the beer/mustard sauce makes these brats special! The complete recipe may be doubled if desired. Cooking time is for grilling time. Fully-cooked brats only for this recipe to keep cooking time to a minimum, uncooked will need a longer cooking time.

SHEBOYGAN GRILLED BRATS
Growing up on a lake in the Sheboygan area, this was a standard way that the German folks would grill their brats. We always served them on the old-fashioned hard rolls. By finishing them in the beer sauce they just get better and better. Though it's expensive, on special occasions I use a dark beer which is not German at all: Guinness Irish Stout. Around our house, we eat them with ketchup and mustard, and the cooked onions from the brat sauce.

Tips:
- Choose high-quality brats for the best flavor. Look for brats that are fresh, plump, and have a good amount of marbling.
- Make sure the grill is hot before cooking the brats. This will help to prevent them from sticking and will also help to create a nice sear.
- Cook the brats over medium heat for 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through. Turn the brats every few minutes to ensure that they cook evenly.
- Baste the brats with the honey mustard sauce during the last few minutes of cooking. This will help to caramelize the sauce and give the brats a delicious glaze.
- Serve the brats immediately with your favorite sides, such as sauerkraut, potato salad, or baked beans.
