When the weather is warm, there's nothing quite like a grilled pizza. The smoky flavor of the grill infuses the pizza dough with a delicious charred flavor, and the toppings get cooked to perfection. This recipe for grilled pizza with pears, fresh pecorino, and walnuts is a perfect example of how to make a delicious grilled pizza. The pears add a touch of sweetness, the pecorino adds a salty flavor, and the walnuts add a crunchy texture. The result is a pizza that is both delicious and visually appealing.

Steps:
- Clean and oil your grill grate. Turn on and heat to medium high heat.
- Cut pears in half and scoop out the cores. Slice a piece off the skin side so it will lay flat without rolling. Brush with a light oil (see Recipe #369334). Place pears cut-side down on the grill. Cover and cook until heated through and nice grill marks appear, about 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, toast walnuts in small pan over medium heat on stovetop until toasted, about 5 minutes. Pour walnuts in small bowl and while still warm add gargonzola and mix so cheese melts. Add honey. Stir lightly to incorporate.
- Toss arugula or other greens very lightly with vinaigrette. Divide onto four plates.
- When pears are nicely grilled on cut side turn over and divide gorgonzola mixture among pears. Grill for a couple minutes more. Remove pears and place ½ pear on each of the four plates. Drizzle with vinaigrette. Serve warm.

Tips:
- Use a hot grill: A hot grill will help to cook the pizza quickly and evenly, resulting in a crispy crust and melted cheese.
- Make sure the pizza dough is thin: A thin dough will cook more quickly and will be less likely to become soggy.
- Don't overload the pizza with toppings: Too many toppings will make the pizza difficult to cook and may cause it to become soggy.
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the pizza will taste.
- Cook the pizza until the cheese is melted and bubbly: This will ensure that the pizza is cooked through and that the cheese is melted and gooey.
Conclusion:
Grilled pizza is a delicious and easy way to enjoy a classic Italian dish. By following these tips, you can make a grilled pizza that is crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor. So fire up your grill and get started!
