Tips:

  • Choose the right ground beef: For the best chili, use a lean ground beef with a fat content of 85% or less. This will help to reduce the amount of grease in the chili while still providing plenty of flavor.
  • Brown the ground beef properly: To get the best flavor, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it is cooked through and no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease before adding the other ingredients to the pot.
  • Use a variety of beans: This recipe calls for three types of beans: kidney beans, black beans, and pinto beans. However, you can use any combination of beans that you like. Other popular options include navy beans, Great Northern beans, and lima beans.
  • Add your favorite spices: The spices in this recipe are just a starting point. Feel free to add more or less of any spice to taste. Some other common chili spices include cumin, chili powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Let the chili simmer: The longer you simmer the chili, the more flavorful it will be. Simmer the chili for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.

Conclusion:

This ground beef chili with beans is a hearty, flavorful, and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover ground beef. Serve the chili with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
