1/4 Cup gluten-free all purpose flour
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 Cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 Cup white wine
1 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp capers
3 Tbsp chopped parsley

Steps:

  • 1. Sprinkle the grouper fillets with salt and pepper and then dredge on all sides in the flour. Melt the 2 Tbsps butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fillets to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes on each side. Remove fish from skillet. 2. Add the lemon juice and wine to the skillet, scraping browned bits from the pan. Cook for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in the remaining butter, capers, and parsley. Serve sauce over fish.

Tips:

  • Use fresh grouper fillets. Fresh grouper has a mild, sweet flavor that is perfect for piccata sauce. If you can't find fresh grouper, you can use another type of white fish, such as tilapia or cod.
  • Make sure the grouper fillets are evenly sized. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Dredge the grouper fillets in flour before cooking. This will help the sauce stick to the fish.
  • Use a large skillet to cook the grouper fillets. This will prevent the fish from overcrowding and sticking to the pan.
  • Cook the grouper fillets over medium heat. This will help prevent the fish from overcooking.
  • Add the piccata sauce to the skillet and cook for a few minutes. This will allow the sauce to thicken and flavor the fish.
  • Serve the grouper piccata immediately with your favorite sides.

Grouper piccata is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of the mild, sweet flavor of the grouper and the tangy, lemony piccata sauce is sure to please everyone at the table.
