BAT CUPCAKES
I make dozens of these each Halloween. They are so cute! My kids expect to be able to take them to school even when I am not the Halloween party mom! I also take some to work and the people who dress up in costumes get one as a prize - they come looking for me to show me their costumes!

Even my adult children love these Halloween cupcakes! We serve them every year at our pumpkin-carving party. You can also make them with the fudge stripes on their wings facing up for variety. -Joyce Moynihan, Lakeville, Minnesota

Tips:
- Use a template: A bat cupcake template can be found online or made by hand. Simply trace the template onto parchment paper and cut out the shapes. Place the parchment paper on a baking sheet and pipe the batter into the shapes.
- Make sure your batter is the right consistency: If the batter is too thick, it will be difficult to pipe. If the batter is too thin, it will spread too much in the oven.
- Pipe the batter slowly and carefully: Take your time and make sure to fill in all of the spaces. If you rush, the batter may not come out evenly.
- Bake the cupcakes according to the recipe instructions: Do not overbake or underbake the cupcakes. Overbaked cupcakes will be dry and crumbly. Underbaked cupcakes will be gooey in the center.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before decorating: If you decorate the cupcakes while they are still warm, the frosting will melt and the decorations will not stick.
- Use creative decorations to make your bat cupcakes unique: You can use candy melts, sprinkles, edible glitter, or even small plastic bats to decorate your cupcakes.
Conclusion:
Bat cupcakes are a fun and easy way to celebrate Halloween. With a little creativity, you can make bat cupcakes that are both delicious and festive. So get creative and have fun!
