Tips:

  • Use a sharp knife to cut the ham and Swiss cheese into thin slices. This will help them roll up evenly and prevent them from tearing.
  • If the Dijon mustard is too thick, add a little bit of water or milk to thin it out.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the dough tough.
  • If you don't have a bread machine, you can knead the dough by hand. Just be sure to knead it for at least 10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  • Before baking, brush the braid with an egg wash. This will help the braid brown evenly.
  • Serve the braid warm or at room temperature.

Conclusion:

The ham and Swiss Dijon braid is a delicious and easy-to-make bread that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover ham and Swiss cheese, and it is also a great addition to any brunch or lunch menu. With its flaky crust, tender crumb, and flavorful filling, the ham and Swiss Dijon braid is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
