1 large white onion (diced)
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 cups frozen mixed vegetables
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cups shredded cheddar or mixed cheese
1 800 grams bag of frozen Tater Tots

Steps:

  • Pre-heat your oven to 350 °F.
  • In a large skillet, fry the onion in the oil until it is soft and translucent. Add in the ground beef, fry until completely cooked through. Drain the fat, mix the garlic. Fry until golden, around 2-3 minutes, then add some salt and pepper to taste and transfer to a 9x13 baking pan or oven safe pan of equivalent size.
  • Combine the vegetables and the soup. Pour over top of the hamburger. Sprinkle the cheese on top evenly.
  • Place the tater tots in an even layer on top of the soup mixture.

1 ½ lbs ground beef ((browned and drained of excess grease))
26 oz cream of chicken condensed soup ((family size - cream of mushroom works too))
1 cup milk
¼ tsp each, salt & pepper ((to taste))
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 lbs frozen mixed vegetables ((thawed))
2 lbs frozen tater tots ((+/- use enough to cover your casserole))
1 cup cheddar cheese ((grated))
1 Tbsp parsley ((fresh, chopped or dried - optional))

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large casserole dish, combine the cream of chicken and milk. Add seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder), Worcestershire sauce, and frozen mixed vegetables. *Preferably the mixed vegetables have been thawed or rinsed with warm water. If still completely frozen, you may need to cook longer.
  • Add drained, browned ground beef and stir all of the casserole filling ingredients together. Top with a generous layer of tater tots then sprinkle cheese and parsley over the tater tots.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the filling mixture is bubbling around the casserole dish edges and the tater tots are completely cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

1 lb hamburger
1/2 small onion, chopped
16 ounces tater tots
1 (10 ounce) can cream of celery soup
1/4-1/2 cup milk
1 cup frozen corn
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef. When almost done, add the onion and continue to saute until the onions are clear. Drain and set aside. I also season the beef with a little Ms. Dash or something without salt, since the soup will add enough salt taste.
  • In a casserole dish, (I usually use a pyrex that is 11x7) spray the bottom with no stick spray, then cover the bottom with the tater tots. You can see how it's hard to measure, but you can adjust accordingly for your dish.
  • Pour ground beef and onion over tater tots.
  • On top of beef, sprinkle frozen corn. (as much or as little as you like).
  • Put cream of celery soup in a cup and ad enough milk to make it creamy. Pour this mixture over the corn.
  • On the very top, cover with mozerella cheese.
  • Bake at 350 for about 30 min, or until bubbly. It may take longer if it has been refrigerated.
