5 cups uncooked egg noodles
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1-1/2 cups water
1/2 cup chili sauce
1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente; drain. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes or until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the noodles, soup, cheese, water and chili sauce. 1/2 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
1 dash pepper
1/4 cup cream-style cottage cheese
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon thinly sliced green onion
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper (optional)
1 tablespoon sour cream
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Freshly ground black pepper
8 ounces egg noodles
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/4 cups small curd cottage cheese
Pinch red pepper flakes
1/2 cup sliced green onions (less to taste)
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar
Crusty French bread, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Brown the ground chuck in a large skillet. Drain the fat, and then add the tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper. Stir, and then simmer while you prepare the other ingredients.
