Tips:
- To ensure the pork chops are cooked evenly, use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) for medium or 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius) for well done.
- If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can also check if the pork chops are done by cutting into the thickest part of the chop. The meat should be opaque and the juices should run clear.
- For a sweeter sauce, add a tablespoon or two of brown sugar to the pan along with the pineapple juice.
- You can also add a teaspoon of cornstarch to the sauce to thicken it.
- If you don't have apple juice, you can use chicken broth or water instead.
- To make the dish more kid-friendly, omit the cayenne pepper.
- Serve the pork chops with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
Conclusion:
Hawaiian apple pork chops with carrots is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The pork chops are tender and flavorful, and the sauce is sweet and tangy. The carrots add a pop of color and nutrition. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
