Tips:

  • Prep your veggies: Cut them into uniform sizes so they cook evenly. For stir-fries, aim for thin strips or slices.
  • Choose the right oil: Opt for an oil with a high smoke point, such as canola, grapeseed, or peanut oil.
  • Heat your wok or pan: Make sure it's nice and hot before adding your veggies. This will help them sear and retain their crispness.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Cook your veggies in batches if necessary, to avoid steaming them instead of stir-frying them.
  • Keep stirring: Use a spatula or tongs to continuously stir the veggies, ensuring they cook evenly and don't stick to the pan.
  • Add your sauce: Once the veggies are tender, add your desired sauce and stir to coat. Simmer for a minute or two, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
