I love me some hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. I got this recipe from a friend a while back. It is divine! It makes a big batch of dry hot chocolate but it is so worth it. Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 4

25.6 oz box of dry powdered milk
2 lb box of nestle hot chocolate powder ( if you can't find nestle's then swissmiss is fine too!)
8 oz jar of any flavor of coffee mate powder
1 1/2 c powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together in a LARGE bowl. Keep in a sealed container.
  • 2. To make the hot chocolate: use 1/3 cup of mix to 1 cup of hot water.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate: The better the chocolate, the better the hot chocolate will be. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Don't boil the milk: Boiling the milk will cause the chocolate to seize and become grainy. Instead, heat the milk over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  • Add flavorings gradually: If you're adding flavorings like vanilla extract, cinnamon, or nutmeg, start with a small amount and adjust to taste. You can always add more, but you can't take it away.
  • Serve with whipped cream and marshmallows: Whipped cream and marshmallows are classic hot chocolate toppings that add a touch of sweetness and creaminess.

Hot chocolate is a delicious and comforting drink that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With so many different recipes to choose from, there's sure to be a hot chocolate that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a warm and cozy drink, give one of these recipes a try.
