Number Of Ingredients 14

2 cups uncooked Calrose rice
2 cups water
2 tbsp avocado oil
2 cloves garlic minced
1 cup onion diced
1/2 cup carrot diced
1/2 cups frozen peas
2 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
2 eggs (scrambled)
pinch of salt and pepper to taste
2 Green onion for garnish (chopped)

Steps:

  • Start off by cooking 2 cups of Calrose white rice with 2 cups of water in a rice cooker. Once it's cooked, take it out and let it cool completely. You want to make sure that the rice is fully cooled or else your fried rice will be mushy.
  • In the meantime, add 2 tablespoons of avocado oil into a large 14-inch wok. Bring the heat to high. Then add 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 cup of diced onion, and 1/2 cup diced carrot. Stir for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent. I recommend using a wooden spoon here.
  • Then add 1/2 cup frozen peas and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  • Now add 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame oil, 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce. Quickly stir the sauce into the vegetables.
  • Once the sauce is simmering, add your cooled white rice. Stir the rice over high heat until it is well coated in the sauce.
  • Now whisk up 2 large eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Then push the fried rice to the sides of the wok to expose the center and add the scrambled eggs in the middle.
  • Stir only in the crockpot get just until the eggs are scrambled and cooked. Then mix the eggs with the rest of the fried rice and garnish with 2 chopped green onions. Serve warm with yum yum sauce.

HIBACHI FRIED RICE

Hibachi Fried Rice image

Hibachi Fried Rice is a great start or side to an amazing meal! The hibachi chefs are wildly entertaining as they make shapes on the teppanyaki grills out of the eggs intended for your fried rice!! All of the food at a Japanese steakhouse is delicious, but my tasty hibachi rice is a fan favorite!

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 Tbsp sesame seed oil
2 1/2 Tbsp olive oil ((light or extra virgin))
1/4 cup rice cooking wine
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 cups rice ((cooked long grain white rice, I typically use Jasmine))
1 Tbsp Hibachi Cooking Oil ((see above))
1/4 cup white onion ((finely chopped))
1/2 cup peas and carrots ((frozen blend, or a 1/4 cup of each peas and finely chopped or diced carrots))
1 large egg
2 Tbsp butter ((salted))
2 Tbsp soy sauce

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients in a jar or squeeze bottle that you can seal with a lid to shake up the contents, and for storing any unused portion ( if desired ).
  • Shake container before using to cook hibachi style foods, such as this hibachi fried rice, noodles, vegetables, chicken, steak, or seafood.
  • Set all prepared ingredients near workspace as this is cooked on high heat. Using a large wok is preferable, but a large skillet or frying pan will work. Bring wok or skillet to high heat with hibachi cooking oil blend or alternative ( cottonseed, canola, peanut oil ).
  • Cook the egg in the heated oil, quickly breaking the cooked egg apart and moving to the sides once cooked. Add vegetables and saute for about 2-3 minutes. *Reduce heat in small increments as needed if cooking too hot.
  • Heat butter for 10-20 seconds in the microwave and stir in the soy sauce ( add garlic or garlic powder, if desired ).
  • Add the cooled rice to the wok or frying pan, then the butter sauce. Fry for an additional 5 minutes, or until the rice and vegetables are well combined, coated with butter, and everything is heated through.
  • Serve immediately, garnish with sliced green onion or sesame seeds.

HIBACHI-STYLE FRIED RICE

Hibachi-Style Fried Rice image

One of my favorite parts of hibachi is the fried rice and I was determined to make it at home. This recipe is quick and easy and is sure to be a big hit. I enjoy using left-over teriyaki chicken in my fried rice, but you can use any meat you want or no meat at all! With or without chicken it is equally as delicious and a great side dish! You can use more or less garlic, depending on your personal preference.

HIBACHI BEEF FRIED RICE

Hibachi Beef Fried Rice image

This is a recipe I came up with last night and it is as good as the rice that we order at one of those Japanese grills. The key to the success of this, for me, was to make this in steps. I made it with sirloin but you could leave out the meat for a great side dish or add your own meat, chicken or seafood.

Time 30m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

5 cups white rice (cooked the day before)
1 bunch green onion, chopped
1/4 cup diced carrot
1/2 cup diced onion
2 tablespoons garlic (minced)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 lb sirloin (cut into thin bite size strips)
3/4 cup butter (sliced into 8 to 10 pieces)
salt and pepper
vegetable oil
1/4 cup sesame seeds

Steps:

  • In a large skillet heat up about two tablespoons of oil on med. high heat. When oil is good and hot, add all of your veggies and cook stirring frequently for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer to a plate. Return skillet to the stove and add another tablespoon of oil over med. high heat.
  • Add beef with a little salt and pepper and a couple of pats of butter. Stir around for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Using a slotted spoon, take the beef out of the pan and add to the plate of veggies.
  • Discard any juices from the pan and return pan to stove. Dump rice into skillet and add remaining butter, soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste, and sesame seeds. Stir constantly over med high heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the veggies and meat and continue to cook until all of the ingredients have blended and the rice is good and hot. You may want to add/reduce the amount of soy sauce and butter according to your taste.

Tips:

  • Cook the rice a day ahead: Day-old rice is best for fried rice because it has less moisture and will not clump together as easily.
  • Use a well-seasoned wok: A well-seasoned wok will help to prevent the rice from sticking and will also help to create a nice smoky flavor.
  • Heat the wok over high heat: The wok should be very hot before you add the rice so that the rice will cook quickly and evenly.
  • Add the rice in small batches: Do not overcrowd the wok with rice, or it will not cook evenly. Add the rice in small batches and stir constantly.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: The best hibachi fried rice recipes use a variety of vegetables, such as carrots, peas, onions, and broccoli.
  • Add protein: Protein is optional, but it can be a great addition to fried rice. Some popular choices include chicken, shrimp, and beef.
  • Season the rice to taste: Season the rice with soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately: Hibachi fried rice is best served immediately after it is cooked.

Conclusion:

Hibachi fried rice is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By following these tips, you can make hibachi fried rice that is just as good as the rice served at your favorite Japanese restaurant.
