Tips:
- Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling.
- Use a large skillet or wok: This will give you plenty of room to cook the chicken and sauce without overcrowding the pan.
- Cook the chicken in batches: If you try to cook all of the chicken at once, it will steam instead of fry and you will end up with soggy chicken. Cook the chicken in small batches so that it gets evenly browned.
- Make sure the sauce is thickened: The sauce should be thick enough to coat the chicken and vegetables. If it is too thin, add a cornstarch slurry (equal parts cornstarch and water) and cook until thickened.
- Serve the chicken with rice or noodles: Hoisin orange chicken is typically served with rice or noodles. This will help to soak up the delicious sauce.
Conclusion:
Hoisin orange chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal.
