SUPREME APPLE BUTTER

This is the ultimate apple butter recipe given to me by a former English teacher who loves to cook. It reminds me of fall and tastes heavenly. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It is just perfect. It tastes great on muffins, pancakes and vanilla ice cream.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, flavorful apples: This will ensure that the applejack has a rich, full flavor. Fuji, Honeycrisp, and Granny Smith apples are all good choices.
  • Use a good quality apple cider: The apple cider is the base of the applejack, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for an apple cider that is made from 100% apples and that doesn't contain any added sugar.
  • Don't over-boil the apple cider: When you're boiling the apple cider, don't let it boil for too long. This will cause the cider to lose its flavor and become too thick.
  • Add the spices at the right time: The spices should be added to the applejack after it has been boiled and cooled slightly. This will help to preserve their flavor.
  • Let the applejack age: The applejack will improve in flavor if you let it age for a few weeks or months. Store the applejack in a cool, dark place.

Conclusion:

Applejack is a delicious and versatile spirit that can be enjoyed on its own or used in cocktails. It's a great way to use up ripe apples, and it's a fun and easy project to make at home. So next time you're looking for a new drink to try, give applejack a try. You won't be disappointed!
