1 Tbsp butter
1/2 c onion,. chopped
3/4 c green pepper, chopped
1 lb hot dog, all beef, sliced
1 can(s) (16 oz.) pork and beans (b and m)
1/3 c chili sauce
1/3 c catsup
1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar (optional)
1 can(s) (8 oz.) biscuits
3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cook onion and green pepper in 1 tbsp. butter.
  • 2. Stir in hot dogs, beans, chili sauce and catsup. For a sweeter flavor, add brown sugar. Simmer 2 minutes.
  • 3. Spoon hot mixture into an ungreased 9 inch square pan or 12 X 8 inch pan.
  • 4. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits. Arrange 10 biscuits over hot meat mixture.
  • 5. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • 6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden.

16 ounces all meat hot dogs
45 ounces pork and beans, drained (3 - 15 1/2oz cans)
1/3 cup bottled barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
8 1/2 ounces jiffy corn bread
1/3 cup milk
egg

  • Heat oven to 350. Coat a 13x9x2"-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
