ITALIAN PORK PATTIES WITH POTATO WEDGES

Italian pork patties with potato wedges image

Bring some Italian flavour to your table this week, with these succulent pork patties

Provided by Good Food team

Categories     Dinner, Main course

4 baking potatoes , unpeeled, each cut into 8-10 wedges

  • Heat remaining oil in a pan and cook the patties for 7 mins on each side, or until they have a golden crust and are cooked through (alternatively, cook on the barbecue). Serve with the wedges and a tomato and rocket salad, if you like

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your patties.
  • Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing can make the patties tough.
  • Season the patties generously. Italian sausage is typically well-seasoned, so don't be afraid to add plenty of salt, pepper, and other spices.
  • Cook the patties over medium heat. This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from burning.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If you overcrowd the pan, the patties will steam instead of fry and they will not brown properly.
  • Flip the patties only once. Flipping them too often can make them dry and tough.
  • Let the patties rest before serving. This will help them retain their juices and flavor.

Conclusion:

Hot Italian patties are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways. They can be served on their own, with a side of pasta or potatoes, or even used as a topping for a pizza or sandwich. No matter how you choose to serve them, these patties are sure to be a hit!
