HOAGIE DIP

Hoagie Dip image

Here is my favorite Hoagie sandwich in dip form! I was so surprised to find this recipe on the Net. I wonder why I didn't think of this? I served this at a barbecue the other day and everyone raved about it. It's not a 'pretty' dip that's for sure.. but it is very good. Serve in a bowl surrounded by slices of Italian bread. Cook time is time to chill.

Tips

  • Choose ripe and flavorful peppers: The flavor of your spread will depend on the quality of your peppers. Look for peppers that are brightly colored, firm to the touch, and free of blemishes.
  • Roast the peppers before using them: Roasting the peppers will enhance their flavor and make them easier to blend and spread.
  • Use a variety of peppers: Don't be afraid to mix and match different types of peppers to create a spread with a unique flavor profile. Some popular options include jalapeños, serranos, habaneros, and cayenne peppers.
  • Add other ingredients to taste: Feel free to experiment with different ingredients to create a spread that suits your taste. Some popular additions include garlic, onion, herbs, spices, and cheese.
  • Let the spread sit for a while before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld together and develop.
