ICED COFFEE FRAPPE

Iced Coffee Frappe image

Another recipe for coffee lovers, found in the Favorite Brand Name Recipes, May 2010 cookbooklet, Smoothies and Summer Drinks. Preparation time does not include the time needed to brew the coffee strong & cool it!

Provided by Sydney Mike

Categories     Beverages

Time 2m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup coffee, brewed strong, then cooled
1/2 cup cream
1 tablespoon light chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons sugar substitute (recipe gives sucralose-based)
1 cup ice cube

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender & process for about 30 seconds or until smooth.
  • Pour into 2 glasses & enjoy.

Tips:

  • Use a handheld milk frother: This tool is essential for creating the foamy top on the coffee frappe. If you don't have one, you can try using a blender or whisk, but the results won't be as good.
  • Chill your coffee beforehand: This will help to create a thicker, more refreshing frappe.
  • Use a flavored simple syrup: If you don't have any on hand, you can make your own by combining equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and bringing it to a simmer until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from heat and add your desired flavoring, such as vanilla, hazelnut, or chocolate.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chopped nuts: This will add a finishing touch to your coffee frappe that will make it look and taste even more delicious.

Conclusion:

The Iced Nutty Irishman Coffee Frappe is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for a hot summer day. It's also a great way to get your caffeine fix without having to drink a lot of coffee. With just a few simple ingredients, you can easily make this coffee frappe at home. So next time you're looking for a cool and creamy treat, give this recipe a try.
