Tips:

  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Bring your butter and eggs to room temperature before starting. This allows the ingredients to blend together more easily and results in a smoother dough.
  • Don't Overmix the Dough: Overmixing the dough can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake Cookies on a Parchment Paper-Lined Baking Sheet: This helps prevent the cookies from sticking to the pan and makes cleanup easier.
  • Let Cookies Cool Completely: Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack. This helps prevent them from breaking.

Conclusion:

These iced oatmeal-applesauce cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. They're perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack.
