Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Look for fresh vegetables, flavorful spices, and high-quality rice.
- Rinse the rice thoroughly before cooking to remove excess starch. This will help prevent the rice from sticking together.
- Use a 1:2 ratio of rice to liquid. This will ensure that the rice is cooked through and fluffy.
- Add flavor to the rice by using a variety of spices and seasonings. Common Mexican spices include cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Don't overcook the rice. Overcooked rice is mushy and bland.
- Let the rice rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the rice absorb the flavors of the spices.
