Tips:

  • Choose high-quality chicken: Opt for organic, free-range chicken if possible, as it's typically raised in better living conditions and has a more flavorful taste.
  • Use fresh lemons: Fresh lemons provide the best flavor and aroma to the dish. If you only have bottled lemon juice, use half the amount and add more to taste.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: When cooking the chicken, make sure not to overcrowd the pot. This will prevent the chicken from cooking evenly and may result in some pieces being undercooked.
  • Season the chicken well: Before cooking, season the chicken generously with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. This will help enhance the flavor of the chicken.
  • Cook the chicken thoroughly: It's essential to cook the chicken thoroughly to ensure it's safe to eat. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve the chicken immediately: Once the chicken is cooked, serve it immediately with your favorite sides. This will ensure that the chicken is at its best flavor and texture.

This SCD-compliant lemon chicken recipe is a delicious and healthy option for those following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.
