  • Cook the spaghetti al Renatodente: This means cooking it until it is tender but still has a slight bite to it. Overcooked spaghetti will be mushy and bland.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: When cooking the spaghetti, make sure to use a large pot so that the pasta has plenty of room to move around. Overcrowding the pot will make the pasta cook unevenly.
  • Save some of the pasta cooking water: The starch in the pasta cooking water can help to thicken and flavor the sauce. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the cooking water before draining the pasta.
  • Use a good quality olive oil: Olive oil is an essential ingredient in Italian cooking. Choose a high-quality olive oil that has a fruity, peppery flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: There are many different ways to make spaghetti. Don't be afraid to experiment with different ingredients and flavors to find a combination that you love.
