3 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

  • Whisk eggs in a bowl until smooth; whisk about 1/2 cup of the evaporated milk mixture into the eggs, 1 tablespoon at a time, until thoroughly incorporated. • Cook the macaroni noodles al dente, or slightly undercooked. This will prevent them from becoming mushy in the pie.
  • Use a creamy cheese sauce made with a combination of sharp cheddar, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses. You can also add other cheeses, such as Gruyère, Swiss, or Gouda, to taste.
  • Add mix-ins to your macaroni and cheese pie, such as cooked bacon, ham, or vegetables. You can also use different seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika, to taste.
  • Bake the macaroni and cheese pie until the top is golden brown and bubbly. This will usually take about 30-35 minutes.
