PINEAPPLE KIWI MANGO SALSA

Pineapple Kiwi Mango Salsa image

I developed this recipe because I wanted something a little different from the usual pineapple mango salsas out there. It's sweetness complements the spiciness of another dish very well....for example, It went really well with our ZWT3 team's jerk recipe! The jerk recipe is Recipe #234216, if you want to check that out. But, I think this salsa is also good by itself. Cooking time does not include time to let the salsa sit and absorb the flavors.

KIWI AVOCADO SALSA

KIWI AVOCADO SALSA image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 large avocado, diced
3 kiwis, peeled and chopped
white and very light green part of 1 spring onion, finely diced
1 tsp. lime juice
1 tsp. honey
dash of salt
dash of cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Stir all of the ingredients together. Taste to see if you want more lime, salt, or cayenne kick. Serve with chips. The lime will keep the avocado from browning, but this is still best if you eat it sooner rather than later

Tips:

  • Choose ripe kiwis: Use ripe kiwis for the best flavor and texture in your salsa. Look for kiwis that are slightly soft to the touch and have no blemishes.
  • Use a variety of colors: For a more visually appealing salsa, use a variety of colored kiwis. Golden kiwis, red kiwis, and green kiwis will all add different colors and flavors to your salsa.
  • Add some heat: If you like spicy salsa, add some chopped jalapeño or serrano pepper to your salsa. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder.
  • Balance the flavors: Make sure to balance the flavors in your salsa. Add some sweetness with honey or agave nectar, and some acidity with lime juice or lemon juice. You can also add some salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill before serving: For the best flavor, chill your salsa for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld together.

Conclusion:

Kiwi salsa is a refreshing and flavorful salsa that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like it spicy, sweet, or somewhere in between, kiwi salsa is sure to please everyone at your next party or gathering. So next time you are looking for a new salsa recipe, give kiwi salsa a try. You won't be disappointed!
