Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 6

10 c tightly packed torn romaine lettuce
2 c halved cherry tomatoes
2 c croutons
8 slice bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 c shredded colby and monterrey jack cheeses
1 bottle caesar dressing (8 oz)

Steps:

  • 1. Layer all ingredients except the dressing in a large bowl.
  • 2. Drizzle with dressing just before you are ready to serve. Toss lightly.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe tomatoes for the best flavor. Roma tomatoes are a good choice because they are meaty and have fewer seeds.
  • Choose a high-quality mayonnaise. A good mayonnaise will make a big difference in the flavor of the salad.
  • Don't overcook the bacon.Crispy bacon is best for this salad.
  • Use a variety of lettuces for added texture and flavor. A mix of romaine, iceberg, and arugula is a good option.
  • Add some chopped fresh herbs, such as basil, chives, or parsley, for extra flavor.
  • Serve the salad immediately after assembling. This will prevent the lettuce from wilting.

Conclusion:

The Layered BLT Salad is a delicious and easy-to-make salad that is perfect for a summer picnic or potluck. It is also a great way to use up leftover bacon and tomatoes. With its combination of fresh, crisp vegetables, crispy bacon, and creamy mayonnaise, this salad is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
